East Asia Schools Conference 2019
Getting ready for the world
All schools are facing the challenge of how to prepare students for future study, work and life. The East Asia Schools Conference 2019 will invite Cambridge schools to consider this challenge and help develop a shared understanding of what this might mean in the East Asian context.
By building a platform for school leaders and teachers to come together, we will hear from academics and specialists looking at common challenges in education and sharing effective practice.
Looking back to April 2018, around 200 delegates from 105 schools in 48 cities of mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mongolia took part in the conference in Qingdao, China. In her closing remarks, Dr Jing Zhao, Regional Director, East Asia, Cambridge Assessment International Education, explained that quality matters, each centre matters and communication matters. She encouraged all Cambridge schools in the region to work together as a Cambridge family to provide a better education for our students – because students are at the heart of everything we do.
For the East Asia Schools Conference 2019, we have the same philosophy. We hope that the conference will once again provide a platform for professional exchange for our Cambridge school principals, academic directors and teachers. And we need you to help build this platform. We value your contribution and look forward to hearing your voice at the conference.
