Professor Katarzyna Bizon is Vice-Rector for Education and International Cooperation at Cracow University of Technology in Kraków, Poland. She is also a member of the Education Commission of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) and a member of the Accreditation Commission of Universities of Technology (KAUT).
Prior to joining Cracow University of Technology in 2015, initially as an assistant professor of chemical engineering and then from 2019 as an associate professor, she was employed for several years at the Istituto di Ricerche sulla Combustione, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Naples and at the Department of Engineering of the Università degli Studi del Sannio in Benevento, Italy.
Given her interdisciplinary background, with a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a PhD in Chemical Engineering, her research interests encompass issues involving the mathematical modelling and simulation of catalytic and multifunctional reactors, along with the application of data-driven methods for modelling chemically reactive systems.
