This syllabus has the same content as Cambridge IGCSE and O Level Computer Science (0478/0984/2210) but is offered as a digital‑only exam route. With an IDE, students can compile, debug, and run code, showcasing their practical programming skills instead of writing code by hand.
The course content builds future ready learners by focusing on practical, real world programming using Python and developing an understanding of current and emerging technologies.
Students build confidence in computational thinking as they study computer systems, algorithms and programming. The course places a strong emphasis on problem‑solving and logical thinking. Students will learn to solve computer‑based problems and apply their knowledge in practical contexts. They will also explore and understand the importance of responsible, ethical and sustainable use of technology.
Provides a strong foundation for progression to the Cambridge International AS & A Level Computer Science syllabus (9618) or for careers in a rapidly evolving digital world.
