The Cambridge Student Advisory Council offers your child a meaningful opportunity to share their perspectives and engage with the future of education whilst developing skills for life and beyond.
We are inviting students to share views on real topics that will influence our research, thinking and development through activities including online research, small virtual focus groups on specific themes, panel discussions and expert-led Q&As.
Why encourage your child to take part
- Develop skills for life beyond school - through participation, students build confidence and skills such as communication and self-management that support both academic success and future workplace achievement.
- Exposure to global perspectives - students engage with peers from diverse cultural and educational contexts, helping them develop empathy, awareness and a broader worldview.
- Purposeful engagement, not extra pressure - activities are optional, time‑flexible and designed to fit alongside students’ existing commitments. Your child can choose when and how often they contribute.
- Recognised participation - students receive a formal Certificate of Participation for their involvement, supporting personal statements, university applications and their CV or resume.
- A safe, moderated environment - all activities are carefully designed, age-appropriate and aligned with safeguarding, privacy and data protection standards. Participation is flexible and never requires students to speak or appear on camera if they are not comfortable. Parental consent is required for all students under the age of 18.
Who can join
The council is open to students aged 16+ who are studying at a registered Cambridge International school worldwide.
Suitable for curious, thoughtful learners who want to share opinions and listen to others, and students interested in education, global issues and the future of learning.
No experience is needed, and there is no lengthy application process or interviews. We want the council to represent everyone’s voice, and for all our learners have the chance to share their views.
