Teaching and learning

Supporting Cambridge learner and teacher attributes

We are committed to providing a high level of support for teachers delivering the Cambridge Pathway. Our learner and teacher attributes – confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged – are powerful, aspirational and inspiring. They are built into all of our syllabuses and qualifications to ensure they are relevant, challenging and productive.

We provide a wide range of support for teachers so that you can give your learners the best possible preparation for Cambridge programmes and qualifications.

An education founded on these attributes inspires in students a love of learning that leads to success in the classroom, in examinations, and throughout a career. They also create skilful and innovative teachers, with a desire for continuous, professional improvement.

The School Support Hub is a secure support site for Cambridge teachers where you can find a wealth of resources including schemes of work, past papers, mark schemes and examiner reports. You can also talk to our subject experts and Cambridge teachers via the discussion forums. Teachers in schools registered for Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary can access a range of resources using the secure online support sites below.

Learning to learn

Our research shows that good learning habits matter. We encourage Cambridge students to reflect on their learning so that they are able to build on experience and plan ahead. They will be confident, innovative and resourceful, secure in their knowledge yet open to new ideas and opinions. They will also be responsible – to themselves, and to others. These habits lay the foundations for productive study and employment, and are actively promoted and encouraged by Cambridge syllabuses and qualifications.

Supporting teacher development

Good teaching is the key to improving students’ performance, and we provide the tools teachers need to enhance existing skills and develop new approaches. We see this as a career-long process, and invest heavily in our professional development resources. We hold over 1,000 training events worldwide every year, and offer a range of high-quality and affordable professional qualifications. We also continuously update our teaching resources for Cambridge syllabuses and qualifications, to help teachers give their students the best possible chance of success.
