A Cambridge PDQ is more than a qualification. It can open doors to further study, professional recognition, and career development opportunities. Through partnerships with universities and other organisations, we help eligible PDQ holders build on their achievements and continue their learning with confidence.
We are continually expanding opportunities for Cambridge PDQ holders to gain recognition for their learning and experience across academic, professional, and educational settings. The pathways below highlight opportunities for further study and academic progression.

Progression opportunity
If you hold a Cambridge PDQ Diploma, you may be eligible to apply for direct entry to Anglia Ruskin University’s (ARU) Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), subject to ARU's admissions requirements.
Further study opportunities
Candidates who successfully complete the PGCE (Non-QTS) programme may also be eligible for advanced standing on ARU’s MA Education programmes, allowing them to gain exemption from one-third of the course.
English language requirements
For applicants whose first language is not English, a Cambridge PDQ completed and assessed in English may be accepted as evidence of English language proficiency. This is subject to the specific programme requirements and confirmation by the PDQ Programme Leader. All admissions decisions remain at the discretion of ARU.
