Cambridge O Level Bengali is designed for learners who already have a working knowledge of the language and who want to consolidate their understanding in order to progress in their education or career. Through their studies, learners gain an understanding of how to use Bengali effectively in the type of situations that they will encounter in their daily lives in Bengali-speaking environments.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
In 2018 we published a revised syllabus for Cambridge O Level Bengali 3204. The revised assessment for first examination in 2021 included Listening and Speaking components.
Since publishing the revised syllabus, new information has emerged. As a result, we are extending the availability of the current syllabus for examination until June 2025. The revised syllabus published in 2018 (for assessment in 2021), which included the Listening and Speaking components, will no longer be available. You can download a copy of the syllabus that you must teach for assessment until 2025 above.
Available in administrative zones 3 and 4 only. Check the administrative zone for your school.
From 2020, we have made some changes to the wording and layout of the front covers of our question papers to reflect the new Cambridge International branding and to make instructions clearer for candidates - learn more.
We provide a wide range of support so that teachers can give their learners the best possible preparation for Cambridge programmes and qualifications. For teachers at registered Cambridge schools, support materials for specific syllabuses are available from the School Support Hub (username and password required).
