This syllabus builds on the language skills gained at Cambridge IGCSE or Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) and is the ideal foundation for university-level study, or to improve career prospects.
The syllabus:
- is suitable for learners who have completed a Cambridge IGCSE or IGCSE (9-1) Arabic course of study
- develops language skills relevant to study of Modern Standard Arabic at Higher Education, including the study of literature
- is designed to be flexible and allows students to use the marks from their AS Level papers to contribute to their A Level grade
- builds knowledge of vocabulary and grammar in the context of six topic areas, covering both familiar and more general topics
- encourages engagement with the culture and society of countries and communities where Modern Standard Arabic is used.
