Cambridge IGCSE Literature in Spanish enables learners to read, interpret and evaluate a range of literary texts in Spanish.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
We have updated the assessment for this syllabus to better meet the needs of our schools and learners. We have discontinued the coursework and there are now two externally examined papers. We assess Poetry in Paper 2.
For both papers, the number of questions, the number of marks and the duration has changed.
For full details of the changes, please see the 2025-2027 syllabus above.
We are developing a comprehensive range of resources to help teachers deliver this updated syllabus.
We aim to provide a scheme of work and other relevant classroom resources. Example Candidate Responses will be available following the first examination in 2025. Visit the School Support Hub from June 2025 onwards for details.
We provide a wide range of support so that teachers can give their learners the best possible preparation for Cambridge programmes and qualifications. For teachers at registered Cambridge schools, support materials for specific syllabuses are available from the School Support Hub (username and password required).
