Cambridge IGCSE English (as an Additional Language) enables learners to develop practical language skills and build their confidence in communicating in English.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
To better meet the needs of our bilingual learners, we have revised three questions in the specimen Reading paper and one question in the specimen Writing paper.

Cambridge IGCSE English (as an Additional Language) (Cambridge University Press)
Develop English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills through a variety of engaging activities. Also includes accessible grammar, key vocabulary guidance and exam-style questions to help students prepare for assessment. CEFR Exit Level A2/B1.

For some subjects, the syllabus states that Grade Descriptions will be made available after first assessment in 2020 or 2021.
Publication of grade descriptions for these syllabuses has been delayed. This is to make sure that grade descriptions reflect examination outcomes appropriately and are based on the full range of candidate performance after the 2020 and 2021 series.
