This is a useful practical teacher's handbook to support the student's practical workbook. The 'What could go wrong and how to avoid it / Common errors when conducting this investigation' sections are particularly valuable. The CD-ROM contains sample data which teachers can use if a resource isn't available or to reinforce a topic. The book also gives alternate 'everyday' sources of materials where appropriate. The text also refers teachers back to the appropriate activity in the related coursebook for easy reference.
The practicals included in this resource are relevant and focused on the skills learners will need to develop in order to be successful and confident in the practical components of this course. It is a very useful resource for assisting learners to meet all aspects within Assessment Objective 3 (AO3) 'Experimental skills and investigations'. As well as guided exercises and investigations, this title also provides exam-style questions for each topic.
