We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Zhao Jing as our new Regional Director for East Asia. Based in Beijing, Dr Zhao will lead the Cambridge team in East Asia to strengthen and build relationships with schools, universities, key educational institutions and government authorities in China and the wider East Asia region, including Japan, Mongolia and the Republic of Korea.
Dr Zhao brings strong management insights to this educational role. These include an International MBA from Vlerick Leuven-Gent Management School in Belgium and work as a senior education advisor and project director at Cambridge Education for many organisations, including the UK Department for International Development, Asia Development Bank and World Bank. In addition to her great passion for education, she also shows great interest in reading and travelling.
'I am delighted to become Regional Director for East Asia, and I am looking forward to working with our growing number of schools across East Asia to provide them with world-class qualifications and to support our global community of students,' said Dr Zhao.
Welcoming Dr Zhao’s appointment, Michael O’Sullivan, Chief Executive of Cambridge International Examinations, said: 'Cambridge International Examinations works to help schools provide the best international education curriculum, supported by the most appropriate teaching methods and most well recognised qualifications. Dr Zhao Jing is a leading education expert with high professional qualifications and rich experience in China and overseas. She has the perfect background to lead our work in China and East Asia.'
Having a dedicated local team is an important part of supporting our community of Cambridge schools in East Asia.
