The British Council Schools Exams in partnership with Cambridge Assessment International Education hosted the inaugural Cambridge Schools Showcase event for English medium schools in Abuja, Nigeria on Wednesday 1 March 2017 at the Great Hall, British Council office.
Ninety-five schools and over 140 guests from Abuja and neighbouring states attended the event to hear about the benefits of becoming a Cambridge Associate School. British Council Country Exams Manager, Marniee Nottingham and her team, Cambridge Schools Development Manager in West Africa, Efua Asiedu, and a host of other keynote speakers from leading schools also attended.
Academic leaders from Cambridge Associate Schools highlighted the positive impact of the British Council and Cambridge Assessment International Education on their students and on their own lives as teachers. Speakers also took participants through the process of becoming a Cambridge Associate School.
The event ended with a question and answer session. Participants then had an opportunity to visit ‘market stalls’ for further interaction with event organisers, as well as browse books displayed by Cambridge University Press.
