Cambridge International has recognised the success of Cambridge IGCSE and International AS & A Level students in Saudi Arabia with Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. In total, 165 students across 66 schools in Saudi Arabia received awards at three ceremonies held in different provinces in the Kingdom.
The ceremony in the Western Province was held at the Pakistan International School – English Section in Jeddah, in the Central Province the ceremony was held at Reigate Grammar School in Riyadh, and in the Eastern Province at British School Dhahran in Al-Khobar. Around 300 attendees joined us at each ceremony.
Cambridge International’s Head of Business Development, Raed Brahedni, presented 210 awards at the ceremonies to students who excelled in the June 2022 Cambridge examination series, with some students winning multiple awards.
'The results reflect the enormous talent in Saudi Arabia, not only among learners but also within the teaching profession. We are fortunate to be working with our partners, Emkan Education and the British Council, who have supported us in arranging these ceremonies,' said Raed.
The students achieved remarkable results. For example, Sevin Aryan Fernando from Reigate Grammar School in Riyadh, won five awards in the following categories:
'What contributed to my success in these exams was my family, friends, and teachers who supported me throughout. It was also the lessons I learned along the way and the independence I gained by reading and reflecting' says Sevin.
The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards programme celebrates the success of learners taking Cambridge examinations in over 40 countries worldwide. At Cambridge, we place learners at the centre of our international education programmes and qualifications, inspired by the best in educational thinking.
