The latest issue of Cambridge Outlook, the magazine for Cambridge schools worldwide, is now available. Read it now for all the latest updates and thinking on preparing learners to be ready for the world, from early years to university and beyond.
Building on the themes of our major thought leadership report, the magazine highlights the many ways Cambridge is working with schools to navigate real and complex challenges, ensuring students have the best possible futures. On technology, we hear how teachers are gaining a deeper understanding of AI and bringing it to the classroom, how students can navigate misinformation and fake news, and an update on our first live digital exams. We also look at the importance of localising an international education, making space for climate change conversations in the classroom and continuing education through conflict. Rounding off the issue is a look at how a Cambridge education is leading to greater opportunities at university and beyond.
The publication of Cambridge Outlook coincides with this week’s face-to-face, global Cambridge Schools Conference in Cambridge, themed around ‘Future-ready: preparing learners to thrive’. The magazine contains insights from two of the conference’s keynote speakers: Professor Barbara Oakley, Distinguished Professor of Engineering at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and Professor Sam Wass, a child psychologist and neuroscientist who leads the Institute for the Science of Early Years at the University of East London. The piece illustrates how we can better support learners by aligning education with how our brains work.
We hope you enjoy reading this issue of Cambridge Outlook. It includes links to videos, podcasts and further resources to help you explore the themes in more depth.
