More than 100 students and teachers came together at an event in Phoenix, Arizona on 10 February 2016 to celebrate five years of the ‘Move On When Ready’ programme. This high school initiative, which incorporates Cambridge IGCSE, is having great success in preparing students for college-level study.

When Mheirik Del Mundo, a Cambridge student at GEMS Westminster School in Dubai, was diagnosed with Guillain Barré Syndrome last year, it seemed like his education would be derailed. The rare condition left him bedridden and unable to attend classes.

“Cambridge Global Perspectives was an engaging course that encouraged us to consider how various perspectives shape social conditions and our mind-sets,” says Megha Nanaki Parwani (pictured), the June 2015 Cambridge ‘Top in the World’ award winner for Global Perspectives and student at United World College South East Asia (East campus) Singapore.
