Michael O’Sullivan, our Chief Executive, is to leave Cambridge International later this year after five years with the organisation. During this time Michael has led continuous development of our work in education, growing the range of services we offer to schools and ministries of education worldwide, and substantially building up our international network of Cambridge representatives to support schools locally.
Michael will take up a new role later this year, developing international education programmes in China, the country that was the focus of his earlier career. Michael is a fluent Mandarin speaker.
Michael commented: 'I’ll be sad to leave Cambridge International, as I am very proud of what we’ve achieved together to support schools and help students learn effectively. I greatly value the relationships I’ve built with colleagues and with customers around the world. We have grown from being mostly an exam board to being an international education organisation, helping schools prepare students for life – as reflected in our recent change of name to Cambridge Assessment International Education. I leave confident that we are in a strong position to continue developing our services and welcoming new schools to our global community, so we can help future generations of students worldwide.'
Michael will be with us until late July. We are currently recruiting his successor.
