Digital exams and AI- assisted marking can offer the same reliability, fairness and comparability as paper based and examiner marked exams. Those are the key findings from research by Cambridge ahead of its first digital IGCSE and AS and A Level exams this May and June.
Mode Effects in Digital v Paper Assessments, a study by Cambridge researchers using data from our Digital Mocks Service, found that whether an exam is taken on screen or on paper makes little difference to how students perform overall.
