  • Cambridge International welcomes UK government report on Cambridge IGCSE

    Cambridge Assessment International Education welcomes today’s report published by England’s Department for Education (DfE).

    This report shows clearly that Cambridge IGCSE is the same standard as GCSEs in England. As the Minister for School Standards, Nick Gibb MP, says in his letter to the UK House of Commons Education Select Committee, the DfE has found “no evidence of systematic differences in standard between Cambridge’s IGCSEs and GCSEs”.

  • Cambridge qualifications are same standard as UK equivalents – UK NARIC

    An independent study by UK NARIC, the UK’s national agency for the recognition and comparison of international qualifications and skills, has found that the Cambridge IGCSE can be considered of a comparable level to the reformed GCSE in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This latest study builds upon findings in 2016 which found Cambridge IGCSE demonstrated overall comparability to UK GCSE standard and Cambridge International AS & A Level to UK A Level standard.
