- learn about the syllabus and key content for teaching
- become familiar with the Cambridge approach to teaching and learning

- review endorsed resources that are available to support teaching
You will also have lots of opportunities to share ideas with other Cambridge teachers.
Who is this course for?
This course is for teachers who are new to Cambridge and have no prior experience of Cambridge programmes. If you are an experienced Cambridge teacher or have taught this syllabus for at least two years, we strongly recommend you attend one of our other courses instead.
You only need to attend an Introduction course once. So, if you have already attended this course, or the equivalent Introductory course previously (for this syllabus year), you do not need to attend again.
Who will deliver the course?
This course will be delivered by an accredited Cambridge trainer who is a subject expert with a range of relevant classroom experience and have been involved in some aspect of marking. We do not provide professional development courses delivered by examiners who have seen live papers.
Course schedule
This course will run for a total of 12 hours and will consist of 4 x 3hour sessions.
Virtual Platform
Virtual professional development is a lot like our face-to-face professional development. However, it is held over Zoom. You will use a Miro board to collaborate with other teachers. Each session will be live so you will be able to see and talk with the trainer and other teachers and take part in interactive activities. The link and password to access the course and materials will be provided to registered delegates approximately one week prior to the start date. All materials for this course will be digital and can be downloaded prior to the course.
