The syllabus provides learners with an opportunity to study both the practical and theoretical aspects of physical education. It is designed to encourage enjoyment in physical activity by providing learners with an opportunity to take part in a range of physical activities and develop an understanding of effective and safe physical performance. This helps learners to develop an appreciation of the necessity for sound understanding of the principles, practices and training that underpin improved performance, better health and well-being.
This syllabus is graded from 9 to 1 but is otherwise the same as Cambridge IGCSE Physical Education (0413). You will find past papers and other resources on the web page for Cambridge IGCSE Physical Education (0413) these may be useful for teaching Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) Physical Education (0995).
From 2019 this syllabus will be available in Administrative Zone 3 in both June and November. Check the administrative zones for your school.
For further information please contact our Customer Services team at email@example.com.
Please note that if you make an entry for the 9-1 grading scale, it is not then possible to switch to the A*-G grading scale once the entries deadline has passed. If you find that you have accidentally made an entry for the 9-1 syllabus, you must withdraw and re-enter before the entries deadline.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
