When I decided to enroll in a Cambridge school, my school counsellors and teachers explained to me that the curriculum is primarily based on active learning, as opposed to rote learning.
I completely agree with them because after completing my Cambridge IGCSEs, I realized that a Cambridge international education not only offers students a breadth of knowledge that is up to date with current developments and relevant to the needs of society, but it also equips students with independent study and research skills and enables them to succeed once they step out of school.
I chose to progress to Cambridge International AS Levels despite general feedback that it might be difficult to get admitted into universities in India if you have not studied under a local board.
Cambridge International A Levels have been instrumental in laying a solid foundation for me in the field of science. They have given me a strong knowledge base to build upon, as well as essential practical skills that are required to progress in any branch of science. Studying for Cambridge International A Levels has allowed me to apply my knowledge and think beyond what is given in textbooks. But most importantly, they have made me realize that education need not only be about writing exams and earning grades; it can be about enjoying what you’re learning, and discovering where your interests and passion lie.
The broad range of topics covered by the Cambridge International A Level syllabus have allowed me to make an educated decision about what career I would like to take up. While preparing for the Cambridge International A Level exams, my objective was to understand my subjects thoroughly. With the correct guidance and support provided by my teachers, I won several Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for my exam performance. I was able to top in Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry in India as well as get the Best Across award for my marks across eight Cambridge IGCSE subjects. I then won a Top in the World award for Cambridge International A Level Chemistry, Top in India for Cambridge International A Level Physics and a Best Across award for my results over three Cambridge International A Level subjects in India.
Cambridge International A Levels not only allowed me get admission to the course I wanted in one of India’s best universities, they also gave me the confidence I needed to excel in it. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai.
I am thankful to Cambridge Assessment International Education and the Cambridge International A Level curriculum for directing me along this path.
