Accurately measuring a child’s potential and progress is a very valuable part of understanding and responding to their educational needs. CEM is one of the largest and longest established providers of formative assessments for children of all ages.

An objective, baseline assessment carried out at the beginning and end of the academic year to show progress.

A diagnostic assessment of literacy and mathematics ability and progress in both areas to support Cambridge Primary. The additional measure of developed ability gives an indicator of students’ ability to acquire new knowledge and skills.

MidYIS for ages 11-14
A standardised baseline assessment that provides information about learners’ strengths and weaknesses, most likely examination grades and value-added performance indicators for Cambridge IGCSE.
MidYIS assesses:
- Vocabulary
- Mathematics
- Non-verbal ability
- Skills.
Yellis for ages 14-16
Yellis follows on from the MidYIS assessment, re-establishing developing ability measures and offering data which you can use to predict grades for Cambridge IGCSE and O Level.
Yellis assesses:
- Vocabulary
- Mathematics
- Non-verbal ability.
Alis for ages 16-19
Alis provides most likely examination grades and chances, and value-added performance analysis for AS & A Level based on Cambridge IGCSE average point scores and/or CEM’s Computer Adaptive Baseline Test of developed ability.
Alis assesses:

- Mathematics
- Non-verbal ability.
