Programme leader resources

We provide dedicated resources to help programme leaders plan and run a Cambridge Professional Development Qualification (Cambridge PDQ) programme. This includes guides to learning outcomes and assessment standards.

Each nominated programme leader must complete the Programme Leader Induction course run by Cambridge. This is a ten week interactive and facilitated online course and runs throughout the year. During the course the nominated programme leader produces an overview of their programme plan and a programme rationale and submits to Cambridge for review and feedback.

Cambridge Personal Styles Questionnaire

The learning outcomes of Cambridge PDQs have been mapped to the competencies of the Cambridge Personal Styles Questionnaire (CPSQ), a personality assessment that assesses non-cognitive skills. CPSQ is used to identify values and behaviours that are at the heart of a successful career in teaching. It helps teachers to understand and reflect on their own behaviour styles and needs. The results provide insight into how you can support your teachers, allowing you to make targeted interventions to help enhance your teachers’ professional development.

CPSQ can be used to support candidates as they progress through their Cambridge PDQ programme, encouraging a greater depth of reflection with their Cambridge PDQ mentor and in their portfolio of evidence.

Community

When you become a programme leader, you join a worldwide education community of over 230 Programme Leaders in 50 countries.

Our online Cambridge PDQ Programme Leader Community brings programme leaders together to:

  • keep up to date with Cambridge PDQ developments
  • share experience, ideas and resources
  • take part in Cambridge-led events such as webinars.

We also support the use of social media to provide a community where Cambridge Professional Development Centres, school leaders and teachers can find useful information, as well as share ideas and experiences to help develop their thinking and practice.
