A record number of Cambridge exams were taken in North America in 2015/16. The total number of Cambridge schools in North America has grown by 11 per cent to date in the last year. The total number of schools administering the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) program jumped 22 per cent in the same period.

This month our Chief Executive, Michael O'Sullivan, signed a memorandum of understanding with the French Ministry of Education. The agreement will see Cambridge Assessment International Education continue to work closely with the French government on the development of the British version of the International Option of the Baccalauréat, the OIB.

Enrichment Professional Development is a new type of training from Cambridge that is designed to transform classroom practice. The learning is focused on skills, understanding, concepts and ideas in teaching and learning, and teachers are encouraged to reflect on, and become more innovative in their teaching.
After a five-year gap, Ecole Francaise in Kano, Nigeria, has reintroduced Cambridge Primary in order to maintain – and improve – the school’s international status. Headmistress Mme Jihanne Dib has successfully realigned the school curriculum to the Cambridge Primary programme.
