Guidance documents

We produce clear administrative documentation to guide exams officers through the examination process.

You can download the latest Cambridge Handbook. The handbook sets out all the regulations and processes for managing Cambridge exams. If you are a UK school, use the Cambridge Handbook (UK).

You also need the Cambridge Guide to Making Entries and final timetables. The guide tells you exactly how to enter candidates for our exams. The timetable details when each exam is timetabled in an exam series. They are both available on >Direct as they contain information that is specific to each administrative zone. You can also access timetables on our public website.

We also produce other extra guidance documents on various processes throughout the Cambridge Exams Cycle, and for administering syllabuses using Secure Exchange.

'Help' section

If you have a question about our exam administration process you can visit our online bank of answers to frequently asked questions through the 'Help' section of the website.

If you can’t find the answer you are looking for you can contact our Customer Services team of experienced staff, dedicated to providing schools with quick, clear and accurate responses to their enquiries. We aim to respond to all enquiries within two working days.

If you work through another organisation to offer our exams, you should contact our customer services team.
