Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) Grant

Expand Access to Rigorous Math and Science with Cambridge

Indiana schools can access state-funded support to introduce or grow Cambridge International programs through the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) Cambridge Math & Science Grant. This funding helps K–12 schools strengthen math and science instruction while opening doors to advanced coursework and college readiness.

Whether your school is new to Cambridge or looking to expand offerings, the IDOE grant can help you take the next step.

Who the IDOE Cambridge Grant Is For

The IDOE Cambridge Grant is available to Indiana-accredited K–12 schools, including:

  • Public schools
  • Charter schools
  • Private schools

Participating schools must be approved by the Indiana Department of Education and commit to implementing at least one Cambridge math, science, or Thinking Skills course.

Grant Funding at a Glance

Schools approved for the IDOE Cambridge Grant may receive:

  • Up to $20,000 per school in grant funding
  • Support for teaching Cambridge courses in the 2026–27 or 2027–28 school years
  • Funding managed and allocated by the Indiana Department of Education

Grant recipients outline how they plan to launch or expand Cambridge courses and how the program will be sustained beyond the initial funding period.

Why Indiana Schools Choose Cambridge

Cambridge programs support Indiana schools in delivering high-quality, future-ready learning. Through this grant, schools gain access to:

  • College-recognized coursework aligned to Indiana diploma requirements
  • Guaranteed college credit at all Indiana public higher education institutions for qualifying exam results
  • Guaranteed admission to Indiana public colleges and universities with the Cambridge AICE Diploma
  • Exam fee coverage for up to three Cambridge exams per student, per year
  • Stronger accountability outcomes: Under Indiana’s new school accountability model (taking effect with 2026 grades), schools earn points for student performance, including participation and success in accelerated coursework like Cambridge

Cambridge helps schools strengthen STEM learning while preparing students for success after graduation.

Built for Long-Term Sustainability

The IDOE Cambridge Grant is designed as a launchpad, not a one-time initiative. Schools applying for funding demonstrate how Cambridge will become part of a long-term academic strategy.
