Zina Evans

Senior Vice President for Higher Education Strategy, Enrollment and Student Success

Partnership for Education Advancement, US

Zina L. Evans, Ph.D. is Senior Vice President for Higher Education Strategy, Enrollment and Student Success at the Partnership for Education Advancement in the US.

Ed Advancement’s mission is to support social mobility by strengthening mission-focused colleges and universities that primarily serve low-income, first generation and under-resourced students and families such as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs).

Zina has over 35 years of experience in higher education and is a frequent presenter on issues of access, enrollment, retention, and student success. Before joining Ed Advancement, she served as Vice President for Enrollment Management and Associate Provost for 15 years at the University of Florida. She has also held leadership positions at such institutions as University of Maryland and University of California Berkeley.

Zina has served on numerous boards and committees including the SAT Advisory Committee; AP Higher Education Advisory Committee; the Coalition for College Executive Board; the Mastery Transcript Consortium Board, the Girls Place Inc. Board and a trustee for the College Board.

She received her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, her master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and her bachelor’s from the University of California, Irvine.
