Cambridge Pre-U Global Perspectives is a one-year course that prepares young people for positive engagement with a rapidly changing world. Through the study of global issues, learners will explore different and sometimes opposing perspectives and develop thinking and reasoning skills as well as research and communication skills.
These skills will enable learners to meet the demands of the twenty-first century and make a successful transition to study in higher education. The Global Perspectives Short Course comprises the first three components of Cambridge Pre-U Global Perspectives and Research (GPR). It is aimed at learners who want to broaden their learning but who do not wish to take the subject through to Cambridge Pre-U GPR.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
We are withdrawing the November series for Cambridge Pre-U Global Perspectives Short Course (1340). The last November exam series will be November 2020. From 2021, we will only offer this syllabus in the June exam series.
The last examination series for Cambridge Pre-U Global Perspectives (Short Course) (UK only) (1340) will be June 2023. There is a resit opportunity in June 2024, there is no option for candidates to resit after this date. We communicated this decision to schools in November 2019.
Schools offering Cambridge International Pre U Global Perspectives can access resources, courses and build online communities through our Online Learning area.
You can access the Online Learning area here.
