The Cambridge Pre-U Geography course equips learners with the skills required to make a success of their subsequent studies at university. There are four components: geographical issues, global environments, global themes and a research topic.
Each component is assessed by a written examination. Over the two-year course, learners develop the enquiry skills necessary to understand and explain geographical issues.
We know that Covid-19 presents challenges to schools and students taking Cambridge Pre-U. In line with schools' feedback, we have made adaptations to this Cambridge Pre-U subject for June 2021. Our adaptation guidance is published in full in the Covid section of our website.
We have made some changes to the wording and layout of the front covers of our question papers to reflect the new Cambridge International branding and to make instructions clearer for candidates.
You will see these changes on live question papers from June 2020 and therefore we have made these changes on the specimen materials for this syllabus. The specimen questions and mark schemes remain the same.
Withdrawal of Cambridge Pre-U Geography (9768)
The last examination series for Cambridge Pre-U Geography (9768) will be June 2023. There is a resit opportunity in June 2024, there is no option for candidates to resit after this date. We communicated this decision to schools in November 2019.
