Teaching and learning
We release exam results in January (following the November exam series) and August (June exam series). Your school will tell you when your results will be available and how you will receive them. You might need to go to your school to collect your results, or your school might give you a password so that you can view your results on our secure website.
Find out which certificates are issued for each qualification.
Once you’ve received your results, you might need to use one of our results services. Here’s what we offer:
We take great care in marking and grading your work, but occasionally something can go wrong. This is why we have an ‘enquiries about results’ service.
If you have questions about your grade, talk to your school first who will be able to advise you. You can also read our guide Enquiries about results and appeals to find out more.
We know that many students have deadlines for submitting results to educational institutions around the world, which are often very close to our result issue dates. So you can ask us to send a provisional statement of results directly to your chosen educational institutions on the day results are published. Simply complete the form below and return it to us.

You don’t need to use this service if you are applying to a UK university. We send all results to the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) in time to meet any required university deadlines.
Sometimes a university or other third party institution needs us to verify your results. They can apply for this service at any time using the form below. The outcome of the results verification will only be sent directly to the third party.

We do not calculate Grade Point Average for students. As there is no universal way to calculate GPA, we recommend that you contact your chosen university or a credential evaluator to a calculate your GPA.
Credential evaluators who offer GPA calculation service include:
Syllabus grades for all exam types are reported on the Statements of Results as an upper case letter followed by the corresponding lower case letter in brackets. For example, B (b). This format is used as a security feature to prevent grades being altered by hand.
'NO RESULT' or 'X' means one of the following:
For each qualification PENDING indicates that a result cannot be issued at present but will follow in due course.
UNGRADED indicates that the candidate has failed to reach the standard required for a pass. UNGRADED will be reported on the Statement of Results but not on the certificate.
For some Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses, 'TO BE ISSUED' indicates that the result will be awarded in the November exam series.
The Cambridge AICE Diploma group award result will be reported on Cambridge International A Level Statements of Results for candidates who satisfy the AICE Diploma award rules. The AICE Diploma group award is rewarded on a three point scale of grades: Distinction, Merit and Pass.
The Cambridge ICE group award result will be reported on Cambridge IGCSE Statements of Results for candidates who satisfy the ICE award rules. The ICE group award is reported on a three point scale of grades: Distinction, Merit and Pass.
