Here are answers to the questions students most frequently ask us about Cambridge score results. If your question is not here, please talk to your school or email your local Cambridge Schools Manager.
Results will be released on the following dates:
Your school may choose to provide access to your results online via the secure Candidate Results website. Your school will give you a login. Please ask your Cambridge coordinator for your login if you have not got one.
On results release day we send your school an electronic copy of your results and follow up with a hard copy approximately 2 weeks after this period. This document is called a ‘statement of results’ and it lists all the syllabuses you have taken and the grades you have been awarded. The statement of results is a provisional results document which we provide before the final certificate is printed. Therefore these may not be accepted by a university or other public body as they are not considered your final result. This is because there is a period of time in between the release of results and the issuing of certificates when you can query your grades with us. This is called submitting an enquiry about results. Once this period is over we issue certificates which are a confirmation of your final grade (refer to section below for information on how to send official transcripts to educational institutions).
We take great care in marking and grading your work, but if you have questions about your score result, talk to your school first as they will be able to advise you. Only your school can ask us to review one or more of your results (this is called an enquiry about results), and there is a time limit for this.
Your results transcript is the official list of score results that informs a university or other public body of your score results in your Cambridge exams. Only you (the student) or your parents can can submit a request for us to send a results transcript to your chosen institution(s). Please confirm with your chosen institution(s) that they will accept this document as official confirmation of your Cambridge score results.
Yes. Use the transcript application form (PDF, 265KB) to ask us to send your Cambridge International AS & A Level score results from your past exam series to your chosen institution(s) if they need official score results to make credit by exam, placement or other decisions that depend on the exam scores. We send out transcripts within 28 working days of confirming we have received the order. There is no charge for this service at this time. Cambridge International AS & A level scores will come on a combined transcript. See sample PDF (PDF, 118KB) of what universities receive for Cambridge International AS & A Levels.
Search our Recognition database to find out the admission requirements and/or credit policies for the colleges and universities where you are sending your scores. We ask you always confirm with institution their latest policies regarding Cambridge qualifications.
You do not need to use this service if you are applying to a university in the United Kingdom. We send all results to the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) in time to meet the university deadlines.
Our international qualifications are recognized by the world’s best universities and employers, giving students a wide range of options in their education and career.
Once a college or university receives your official transcript, they will evaluate your grades alongside any other items you submit as part of your application to determine if you meet the admission requirements of the college or university. If the US college or university has a policy for granting credit or placement for Cambridge International AS or A-Level examinations, college officials will then determine how much college credit you will get you once you enroll in the institution. Search our Recognition database to find out the admission requirements and/or credit policies for the colleges and universities where you are sending your scores. We ask you always confirm with institution their latest policies regarding Cambridge qualifications.
You can choose to send Cambridge International AS & A Level scores. We do not remove Cambridge International AS Level and Cambridge International A Level scores from transcripts. The transcript shows all grades achieved for the two stages of assessment.
We recommend you submit your request by early spring of your senior year of high school. This means we will send your results from junior and earlier years to the institution(s) by the end of June. In August, as soon as we release the score results, you can ask for a second report for your senior year exam results.

If you have lost your certificate, or need another copy of your score results, we can issue you with a certifying statement. Please complete the application form below. The form explains what you need to do before we can send a certifying statement either directly to you or to any public institution. The certifying statement shows all score results, except ‘UNGRADED’, ’NO RESULT’, ’PENDING’ or ‘TO BE ISSUED’ results.
Please check that this certifying statement will be accepted by universities and other institutions as proof of your exam results. We will deal with correctly submitted applications within four weeks of receiving them. Apply for a certifying statement.
