Use our new online Grade Transcript Service to send your Cambridge International AS & A Level exam grades to US colleges and universities.

Sending exam grades

How to send grades

US students who take Cambridge International exams in the US can now use our free, online Grade Transcript Service to send Cambridge International AS & A Level exam grades to US colleges and universities. Grade transcripts are sent within 28 days when we receive your request. You will need the following information:

  • Student’s name, date of birth, and email address
  • A picture of student’s valid ID (e.g., passport, birth certificate, or state-issued driver’s license, permit, or official ID)
  • Exam series, center name or number, and candidate number
  • Institution(s) where you wish to send your grades

There is no fee for this service. The online Grade Transcript Service is currently only available for US students who took their exams in the US to send grades to US institutions.

If you need assistance with the online form contact customer service by email at info@cambridgeinternational.org or call 917-810-2660 (toll free, open 24 hours from Saturday 8 pm to Friday 7:59 am, Eastern Time).

What is sent in your grade transcript

The grade transcript sent to colleges and universities includes:

  • Your name, date of birth, and email address
  • All AS & A Level passing grades from the exam series you select
  • AICE Diploma notification if applicable

Note: You can choose which exam series (e.g., June 2020 or November 2020) to send to institutions, but you cannot choose individual subject exam grades. The form allows you to select one or more exam series. All passing grades from exams you took during that series will be included in your transcript.

How colleges and universities use exam grades

Check with your college or university to find out how they use Cambridge exam grades. Some institutions will consider your exam grades in admissions, and some will use them to make credit, course placement, or other decisions. Search our Policy Recognition database to find the admission or credit policies for colleges and universities. Always be sure to check with individual institutions for their most up-to-date policies.

When to send your grades

We recommend you consult with colleges and universities to determine when to submit your grade transcript requests.

How to send grades outside the USA

To send grade transcripts to a college or university outside the USA or the United Kingdom, please apply for a Certifying Statement.

Please note that the online Grade Transcript Service above is for US students sending grades to US colleges and universities only. Students applying to a university in the United Kingdom do not need to request a certifying statement. We send all results to the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

If an institution has not received a transcript within 30 days

You will receive a confirmation email when we receive your request, and another email when your grade transcript has been sent to the institution(s). We aim to send transcripts within 14 days of receiving your request. Please allow your college or university a month to receive and process the information. If an institution has not received your transcript within 30 days of the confirmation email, please contact customer service and provide them with your confirmation number and identifying information. We will investigate your query and resend the transcript where applicable. Customer Service: email info@cambridgeinternational.org or call 917-810-2660 (toll free, open 24 hours from Saturday 8 pm to Friday 7:59 am Eastern Time.)

Cambridge IGCSE grades

We do not include IGCSE grades on grade transcripts. If you need to send a copy of your IGCSE grades, apply for a Certifying Statement.

Series Results available
November exams January
June exams August

How to get your grades

Please consult with your school to find out how you to receive your grades. Your school may provide you with paper statements of results or choose to provide access to your results online via the secure Candidate Results website. Your school will have login information.

Questions or concerns about your grades

We take great care in marking and grading your work, but if you have questions about your exam grades, talk to your school first as they will be able to advise you. Only your school can ask us to review one or more of your results (this is called an enquiry about results), and there is a time limit for this.

Your grade reports

Preliminary statement of results

On results release day we send your school an electronic copy of your results. About 2 weeks later we send a paper copy by postal mail called the statement of results. This lists all your grades from the exam series.

Please note, the statement of results is a provisional results document. After you receive it, there is a period of time when you can ask your school to submit an enquiry about the grades you received. Talk to your school concerning how and when to submit an enquiry. A statement of results may not be accepted by a college or university because they are not considered your final grades. Your final exam grades are provided in a certificate.

Final certificate

Your certificate provides your final Cambridge exam grades. We send your certificate to your school approximately ten weeks after results are released.

Request a replacement copy of your exam grades

If you lose your certificate, or need another copy of your exam grades, we can issue you a certifying statement. Please complete the application form below. The form explains what you need to do before we can send a certifying statement either directly to you or to any public institution. The certifying statement shows all exam grades, except ‘UNGRADED’, ’NO RESULT’, ’PENDING’ or ‘TO BE ISSUED’ results. Please check that a certifying statement will be accepted by universities and other institutions as proof of your exam results. We will process correctly submitted applications within four weeks of receiving them.
