Working with training providers

We want to make sure our schools have access to a wide range of high quality training in addition to our own professional development. We are developing a list of opportunities offered by carefully selected training providers that meet the needs of our schools.

These organisations share our commitment to excellent training and we feel that their training complements our own.

Child protection

Child protection is receiving increasing attention from school accreditation agencies and is seen as the responsibility of the whole school. ECIS develops their self-study child protection certificates in collaboration with the safeguarding unit at a specialist UK law firm. As a result the certification requirements align with the standards set by the International Task Force on Child Protection.

The certificates set out the fundamental aspects of child protection for school leaders and teachers working in an international context.

There are three separate online courses, aimed at:

  • Teachers and school leaders
  • School governors, trustees and owners
  • Support staff

You can find out more by visiting the ECIS website.
