Creating a positive environment for academic success
A critical factor for success in schools is the environment in which students learn and socialise together. Practitioners and researchers pose the question: how do we best create an environment that raises learner outcomes and maximises their future opportunities?
This year’s series of Cambridge International’s conferences for teachers and school leaders invites you to explore these ideas with us and to reflect on their implications in today’s world.
We can define a positive school environment as a combination of personal and contextual factors that increase prosocial relationships and positive behaviours in the school community. Sessions will explore this perspective along with tools that can be implemented at the school – and classroom – level, such as the promotion of personal responsibility, engagement, and self-determination.
We will offer presentations and workshops on a wide range of topics related to the conference theme and more broadly on how Cambridge International can support you and your school. We hope participants will leave the conference with exciting strategies to take back to their community.
