For our June Cambridge Schools Conference Online, we will be offering three workshop sessions which will focus on sub-themes in more detail.
The emotional experience of test candidates is a factor often overlooked in assessment. However, emotions cannot be turned off at will and should be considered if we want to have a complete view of our candidates. Emotions also play a role in the development of confident, reflective and self-aware learners - key Cambridge learner attributes.
Speaker: Alison Rodrigues
The CPSQ is for Cambridge International schools who are looking to support their students to become independent learners. The questionnaire is a psychometric assessment designed to help learners reflect on their own strengths and give them agency over their study skills, a factor that can affect their emotional wellbeing.
This workshop will explore how the CPSQ can provide teachers and learners with a common language to talk about resilience, giving further information on the underlying framework, together with practical ideas for use in the classroom.
Speaker: Lyn Dale
Inclusive education is when a school educates learners from a range of different backgrounds or abilities in a way that celebrates neurodiversity and difference. Inclusion means that teaching is adapted, not just for learners with Special Educational Needs (SEND) or based on individual differences, but for all learners to ensure that they are engaged in learning which is meaningful, relevant and accessible to all.
This workshop will explore the myths and misconceptions around inclusive education, giving teachers the confidence to engage with and implement inclusion in their context. We will offer practical strategies to include all learners in your classroom, creating inclusive spaces that promote emotional wellbeing.
Speaker: Jessica Mooney
A live session with Cambridge International Teachers discussing their thoughts, reflections and experiences on themes in the keynote videos and the live Q&A.
