The Cambridge Primary Mathematics series is informed by up-to-date teaching philosophies from around the world. It supports teachers to help all learners become confident and successful mathematicians through an engaging scheme.
Using an investigatory approach, children learn the skills of problem solving in the context of other mathematical strands in the course. Learners are encouraged to be independent thinkers with the confidence to tackle a wide range of problems and understand the relevance of their mathematics. Discussion is encouraged to help learners become good mathematical communicators, to justify answers and to make connections.
This series is part of Cambridge Primary Maths, a project between Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment International Education and is appropriate for learners sitting the Primary Checkpoint test. For each stage, there is a Learner’s Book, a Games Book with CD-ROM and a Teacher’s Resource Book.
