Created in collaboration with the UCL Institute of Education's International Literacy Centre (IOE), this primary reading series is endorsed for reading by Cambridge Assessment International Education.
It comprises over 140 titles across 11 book bands and supports children in becoming confident and independent readers of English, regardless of their language background.
Written specifically for international learners, Cambridge Reading Adventures includes a wide variety of stories spanning traditional and animal tales, contemporary and historic settings as well as non-fiction reports and explanations designed to inspire a love of reading.
Book banding for the series has been developed by the IOE to ensure word count and vocabulary are suitable for each level, allowing children to find a level and to progress through carefully incremental stages.
Digital Classroom components at Early, Transitional and Conventional stages are also available to help teachers get the most out of reading sessions. Pages can be shared with the whole class, also using features such as zoom, highlight and text annotation. Teaching and Assessment Guides are also available. These feature full practical teaching guidance, detailed overviews of each reading book as well as additional activity resources. Access to further Cambridge Elevate lesson plans and worksheets is also included.
Audio for the whole book or individual pages can be played in British and American accents to help learners understand correct pronunciation and intonation.
