Cambridge O Level Swahili is designed for learners who already have a working knowledge of the language and who want to consolidate, and develop further, their understanding to progress in their academic or professional careers.
They will learn how to use Swahili effectively in the type of situations, and Swahili-speaking environments, that they will encounter in their daily lives. The aim is to enable learners to achieve greater fluency, accuracy and confidence in the written language and to achieve a level of practical communication which can also form the basis for further, more in-depth language study.
The last examination series for Cambridge O Level Swahili (3162) will be June 2020.
From 2021, this syllabus will be replaced by the updated syllabus Cambridge IGCSE Swahili (0262).
