Learners following the Cambridge International AS Level Portuguese syllabus will study a series of examples from Portuguese literature. The aim is to better understand these texts, and the issues raised by the authors, and to develop the skills to communicate this understanding in a clear and focused way.
Learners study a variety of texts, including novels, poems and plays, looking at the way the authors have conveyed their ideas, and discussing the wider issues that each text raises.
We are withdrawing Cambridge International AS Level Portuguese Literature (8672). The last examination for this syllabus is June 2019. We communicated this decision to schools in July 2017.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
We provide a wide range of support so that teachers can give their learners the best possible preparation for Cambridge programmes and qualifications. For teachers at registered Cambridge schools, support materials for specific syllabuses are available from the School Support Hub (username and password required).
