The Hinduism syllabus enables learners to gain an understanding of the religious writings, history and current affairs of Hinduism. Learners are expected to think and argue intelligently about the subject.
The syllabus is broad, and ranges from the Vedic Age, through the Epic Age and Medieval Age to the Modern Age. Learners develop knowledge about sacred texts, philosophical ideas and spiritual/religious beliefs.
The last examination series for Cambridge International [AS Level Hinduism (8058) / A level Hinduism (9014)] will be November 2020.
From 2021 this syllabus will be replaced by the updated syllabus Cambridge International AS and A Level Hinduism (9487).
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
