Learners following the Cambridge International AS Level Hindi syllabus will study a series of examples from Hindi literature. The aim is to better understand these texts, and the issues raised by the authors, and to develop the skills to communicate this understanding in a clear and focused way.
Learners will study a variety of texts, including novels, poems and plays, looking both at the way the authors have conveyed their ideas, and discussing the wider issues that each text raises.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
We are withdrawing Cambridge International AS Level Hindi Literature (8675). The last examination for this subject will be November 2023 (there is no option for candidates to resit after this date). We communicated this decision to schools in May 2021.
We provide a wide range of support so that teachers can give their learners the best possible preparation for Cambridge programmes and qualifications. For teachers at registered Cambridge schools, support materials for specific syllabuses are available from the School Support Hub (username and password required).
