Cambridge International A Level Hindi builds on the language skills gained at Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge O Level or Cambridge International AS Level, and is the ideal foundation for university-level study, or to improve career prospects.
Learners gain an understanding of how to use the language in a variety of situations. They will be expected to handle texts and other source materials, extracting information in order to respond to specific tasks. Through their studies, learners can expect to achieve greater fluency, accuracy and confidence in the language. They will also learn how to translate material from English into Hindi.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
We are withdrawing Cambridge International A Level Hindi (9687). The last examination for this subject will be November 2023 (there is no option for candidates to resit after this date). We communicated this decision to schools in May 2021.
From 2020, we have made some changes to the wording and layout of the front covers of our question papers to reflect the new Cambridge International branding and to make instructions clearer for candidates - learn more.
We provide a wide range of support so that teachers can give their learners the best possible preparation for Cambridge programmes and qualifications. For teachers at registered Cambridge schools, support materials for specific syllabuses are available from the School Support Hub (username and password required).
