Cambridge IGCSE (9–1) Mathematics allows learners to:
The content of this redeveloped Cambridge IGCSE is very similar to our existing international syllabus. It includes topics not included in the new 9–1 GCSE such as Matrices, the practical use of statistics and an introduction to calculus. As such, it provides a strong basis to post-16 study in Mathematics and related subjects.
In 2019, UK schools will have a choice of three Cambridge IGCSE syllabuses for First Language English, English Literature and Mathematics. You can find more information and guidance document on Cambridge IGCSE grading choice web page.
From 2020 examination this syllabus will be replaced by Cambridge IGCSE (9-1) Mathematics (0980). This replacement syllabus will not be regulated by Ofqual.
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
We provide a wide range of support so that teachers can give their learners the best possible preparation for Cambridge programmes and qualifications. For teachers at registered Cambridge schools, support materials for specific syllabuses are available from the School Support Hub (username and password required).
