Cambridge IGCSE Second Language Kazakh is designed for learners who already have a working knowledge of the language and who want to consolidate their understanding in order to progress in their academic or professional career.
The qualification reflects the widespread use of Kazakh in education and commerce, and also in entertainment. Through their studies, learners will gain an understanding of how to use Kazakh effectively in the type of situations, and Kazakh-speaking environments, they will encounter in their daily lives. The aim is to achieve a level of practical communication ideal for everyday use, which can also form the basis for further, more in-depth language study.
We are withdrawing Cambridge IGCSE Kazakh as a Second Language (0532). The last examination for this subject will be June 2019 (there is no option for candidates to resit Cambridge IGCSE Kazakh after this date).
The syllabus year refers to the year in which the examination will be taken.
We provide a wide range of support so that teachers can give their learners the best possible preparation for Cambridge programmes and qualifications. For teachers at registered Cambridge schools, support materials for specific syllabuses are available from the School Support Hub (username and password required).
