An essential subject for all learners, Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics encourages the development of mathematical knowledge as a key life skill, and as a strong basis for more advanced study. The syllabus aims to build learners' confidence by helping them develop competence and fluency with mathematical concepts, methods and skills, as well as a feel for numbers, patterns and relationships.
We reviewed Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics at the same time as our other mathematics syllabuses. We made some changes to this course to help learners progressing to further study of mathematics such as Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics or Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics.
To help you deliver the updated syllabus, we are developing a comprehensive support package including a Teacher Guide and a scheme of work. These resources will be available via our Teacher Support site. A range of textbooks prepared by our Core Team Publishers will also be available.
