It is with great pleasure that we have started to announce the first of this year’s Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in Southeast Asia. So far 176 high achieving students in Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam have been told they will be presented with certificates to celebrate their high levels of academic excellence in Cambridge examinations.
Such results demonstrate the enormous talent, dedication and passion for learning among students. It is also a clear indication of the high quality of support from teachers, schools and parents in the Cambridge network.
In particular, we note students in the Southeast Asia region have been performing strongly in art and design, mathematics and languages, with many students receiving Top in the World awards in these subjects. Top in the World award winners achieve the highest standard mark in the world for a single subject.
In Thailand, 83 students will receive awards, 8 of whom have achieved Top in the World. Some 61 students in Indonesia will receive awards, 5 of whom achieved Top in the World. In Vietnam, 32 students will receive awards, 1 of whom achieved Top in the World.
In coming months, we’ll announce the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for other countries in the region and around the world. To learn more about Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards visit www.cie.org.uk/awards
