The first textbook has been published to support Cambridge IGCSE India Studies. This new qualification gives learners the opportunity to research issues affecting India today.
The textbook, endorsed by us and published by Cambridge University Press, covers core themes of the course:
- sustaining Indian democracy
- economic development
- social and cultural development
- India and the world
It includes case studies, maps, figures and images used for analysis.
There are also activities and end-of-chapter exercises to aid learning. Cambridge IGCSE India Studies has a strong focus on developing learners’ thinking and reasoning skills – skills they will need when they move on to advanced study. The syllabus develops awareness of issues affecting and influencing emerging India, and encourages learners to explore them from personal, local, national and global perspectives.
