As a world leader in providing international programmes and qualifications for school education, we are expanding our international team, including in Northeast Asia. Having a dedicated local team is an important part of supporting our growing community of over 200 Cambridge schools in Northeast Asia, and working effectively with universities and governments.
We are delighted to announce that Eric Ding joined us on 1 September as Regional Director, Northeast Asia. Eric is based in our Beijing office with Lina Li, and will be leading our growing China team. Ray Xu joined us on 4 August as our new Deputy Regional Director for the region. Ray is based in Shanghai with Ivan Ma. This means our team in China now consists of five people, with Jamie Jin based in Guangzhou.
Eric has a strong background in business, which includes obtaining an MBA from Cranfield School of Management in the UK. Eric has worked for a variety of companies during his career, most notably for Edexcel (as Regional Director for North Asia & Greater China). Eric’s experience in education and customer focus will be of great benefit to our schools as he leads our growing team in China in the months and years ahead.
Educated in Canada, Ray also holds an MBA and has had a lot of experience over the past decade working in various educational institutions, including student admissions, business development, enrolment, marketing and recruitment. His wealth of experience in the education sector will make him a great asset to our China team.
Eric will lead our Northeast Asia team, as well as building and strengthening relationships with schools, universities, governments and key education organisations including publishers and the British Council. The team will support the growing popularity of Cambridge programmes and qualifications in the region.
If you have any questions, please contact our Northeast Asia team. For all other enquiries, you can contact our Customer Services team either by email or by phone (+44 1223 553 554).
