As a world leader in providing international programmes and qualifications for school education, we are expanding our international team, including in North America. Having a dedicated local team is an important part of supporting our growing community of Cambridge schools in the region, and working effectively with universities and governments.
We are pleased to announce that, in December 2014, Debbie Gates joined us as Schools Development Manager for south east USA. She is based in Florida with Deputy Regional Director Sherry Reach. Bob Meuler also joined us in December as Senior Schools Development Manager for west USA, based in Wisconsin. Together, they form part of our larger North America team, reporting to Regional Director Mark Cavone.
Debbie has spent the last 24 years working in education, first as a teacher at the McGlannan School in Florida, a school for students with special learning needs, and then in a number of roles for Pearson Digital Learning (part of Pearson Education). She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Miami, Florida.
Bob started his career producing radio commercials and developing radio-marketing campaigns, before moving into the education sector nearly 30 years ago. Bob has spent the majority of this time working for Pearson Education where he established and maintained successful relationships with school districts across west USA. Bob is also involved with the Variety Children's Charity.
Debbie and Bob will be working to build relationships with schools, key educational institutions and government authorities in the USA, as well as strengthening ties with our long-term partners in the region.
